Terms
What you’re agreeing to.
Short version: sessions are 55 minutes, you can move one with a day’s notice, and if the first paid session isn’t valuable you get your money back. Last updated September 2026.
Who this covers
This site, actnowcoach.com, is run by Act Now Coaching, a sole-proprietor coaching practice in Los Angeles, California. These terms apply when you book a call, buy coaching, or register for a workshop. Questions about any of it: noel@actnowcoach.com.
Coaching sessions
Sessions are 55 minutes, held weekly or every other week at a consistent day and time that I hold for you. If we’re in the middle of something useful and both our schedules allow it, we can run longer. Work outside a session, such as reviewing a document, interview prep, or preparing a presentation, I take on when I can. Additional time, in session or out of it, is prorated at the session rate and always rounded in your favor. A quick glance at an email or a document is complimentary.
Sessions happen over Zoom, by phone, or in person around Los Angeles. In-person sessions more than about twenty minutes away add a $50 travel fee.
Rescheduling and cancellation
Give me 24 hours’ notice and we’ll move it, no charge and no fuss. Cancel or move a session with less than 24 hours’ notice and that session is billed.
What things cost
A single session is $375. A ten-session package is $3,375, and a twenty-session package is $6,000. The workshop is $99 a seat. Payment is taken through Stripe. I never see or store your card details.
The guarantee, and refunds
If after your first paid session you don’t feel it was valuable, I’ll refund it. If you bought a package, I’ll refund the whole package. For any reason, and you don’t have to justify it to me.
Beyond that, packages are discounted because you’re committing to them, so unused sessions aren’t refunded. The guarantee above is the only exception.
For the workshop: if you can’t make it, I’ll move you to the next one. If it wasn’t worth it, I’ll refund you.
[NOEL TO CONFIRM: do package sessions expire, and if so, when?]
Confidentiality
Everything we discuss is 100% confidential. I don’t share what happens in a session with anyone, including an employer who is paying for it.
[NOEL TO CONFIRM: do you want the standard legal exceptions named here, for example a risk of harm or a court order? Your agreement currently says 100% with no carve-outs.]
Coaching is not therapy
Therapy usually looks back to heal; coaching looks forward to build. I’m not a therapist, a doctor or a licensed mental-health professional, and nothing here is medical or clinical advice. If therapy is what you need, I’ll say so and help you find the right person.
Coaching is a conversation, not a guarantee of a particular result. What you get out of it depends on the work you do between sessions, which is why I ask about that up front.
Training, workshops and speaking for organisations
Engagements are quoted individually and confirmed in writing before anything is booked. The written quote governs the engagement, including fees, travel, cancellation and anything agreed specifically for your event.
Referrals
A referral thank-you lands once your friend’s first payment clears. If their first session is refunded under the guarantee, the thank-you is refunded too. Credit doesn’t expire and there’s no limit on referrals.
What’s on this site
The articles, tools and assessments here are free to read and use. They’re general, not advice about your particular situation, and the self-assessment is a prompt for thinking rather than a diagnosis of anything.
The writing and the frameworks on this site are mine. Quote a sentence and link back, by all means. Don’t republish a piece wholesale or use the material to run your own training.
Your privacy
What I collect and why is on the privacy page, in the same plain English as this one.
Changes
If this page changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes with it. Anything that would surprise you will be said plainly rather than buried.
This page describes how I actually work, in ordinary language. It isn’t legal advice, and a California business may want counsel to confirm the wording.
